Form of Applications                                

All applications must be in writing, in duplicate, and addressed to:

The Foundation will consider only one request from an organization in a calendar year.  Applications must have numbered pages.  No specific form is required; however, an application must be prefaced by a maximum 50-word synopsis of the project and the amount of funding requested.  A letter application is sufficient and must include: 

  1. The amount requested.
  2. The specific project or program for which funding is requested.
  3. A detailed budget for that project or program, including any charges for general administrative overhead.
  4. A brief history of and the purpose of the requesting organization.
  5. Financial statements of the requesting organization for its current and the immediately preceding fiscal year.
  6. A copy of the organization's IRS ruling that it is described in Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and is not a private foundation under Code Section 509(a).

Application Deadlines

The Foundation Board generally meets in the spring and in the autumn. 

Applications should be postmarked or private carrier dated on or before January 31 to be considered at the spring meeting and on or before July 31 for the autumn meeting.
